This is my personal favourite from the recent batch I’ve worked on. I particularly like the sense of space and gentle melancholia. Although maybe the latter is just my projection, as the painting was based on a photo I took of Whitby beach. A location that has very gothic associations, as Bram Stoker would attest to if still able.
