Equal Opportunity

Acrylic, approx 7" x 10"

World of Warcraft trading card game illustration
©Blizzard Entertainment & Upper Deck.

Original artwork for sale; UK£300

Small, maybe. Weak, not.

I decided to adopt a low viewpoint, and tilted horizon line, to add dramatic tension. The magical effect helps provide a focal point, whilst the lines of the land help pull the eye back to the Dwarf.

The card specifications can be found here [link]

Awesome. I adore how you actually explain what you were going for in your work. It helps bring more depth into your art and makes the viewer actually think.

Great use of perspective on this piece & it's nice seeing dwarves do other stuff besides wielding axes and hammers. I also like the fact that it's a female dwarf to boot, so that's cool as well.

As everyone else has said, great action scene! You don't really know if her spell has finished off her foe or if it's a temporary setback for it and the battle will resume. Great job!!

hey man, i feel your gallery is getting less freaky and horrifying, feels as if your works are getting cleaner or toned down or something.

to tell you the truth, the thing i find your works stand out between the rest is because of your unique appealing nature when it comes to maximizing horrific and terrifying depicting scenes, the way you portray the scary expressions and dark nature yet there is also some sort of chivalry and action in the picture along with its livelihood,i find that is the most classical.

Well this looks certainly world of warcrafy. Gotta say though the breast plate of the mage there looks sorta weird. To be specific the portion where the user's breasts are contained, I have never seen such separated, super rounded, and at the same time tiny pair. Well anyway I have to agree with a lot of folks here though, the display of movement here is really great.

Yeah, I probbaly stuck too closely to the game version.. lol, funny how these things can go unnoticed. :)

Well it all depends on how the viewer looks at it, so probably I was a bit more critical than most about that or its because apparently its an accepted female dwarven anatomy that I'm none too familiar with despite my fandom of several fantasy worlds that have dwarves in them. Its really something most people wouldn't notice or even mention. :)

I think it was a fair observation, but it is also true that warcraft is a very stylised world, and it passed through the approval process of the art director and Blizzard ;)

Hello its me again the Γρέεκ bloke from awhile back.
Remember me?
Thought not. Anyway. Here's what I said back then, this time fully translated to the-language-everyone-on-this-planet-is-forced-to-learn-to-some-extend-sooner-or-later. i.e. English. I shouldn't complain though because that's how I earn my living, I'm a teacher of English.
What I said was:
"Hello mate. I had noticed your work which, I don't have to say how awesome it is since it speaks for itself since a few years back when I was a student in the U.K. However, I have to say I didn't expect to see an artist working for the marketing Godzilla that is Wizards of the coast or the marketing King-Kong that is Games Workshop take time to post some of his work in Deviant Art. You not only do that, that is offer your art for free perusal to any humble user of the internet but also care about the visitors in your gallery since you take time to answer to comments. Most big potatoes artists usually won't do that and that is why, in my book, you sir deserve congratulations. In this picture what I like most is the idea of movement the concept of motion that passes on to the viewer as we see the undead hurled back. I won't say keep up the good work since that is pretty much a given"
Ta.
