In this piece I opted for a point of view from below to make the Draeni more powerful looking and imposing. The titlted horizon line adds drama whilst reinforcing the narrative flow, created by the lightning, from left to right.

The mid/foreground elements have an underlying purplish tinge and this helps them to stand out strongly against the contrasting green background. Whilst the colour scheme as a whole gives a slightly sickly and uneasy feeling to the piece.

Yup, I bought this painting at Gen Con this year, very pleased to have it in the studio. All you work looks great and I was happy to get to flip through them (many times) at Gen Con this year. I hope you had a good time!
