Furystoke Giant

Magic the Gathering; Shadowmoor. ©Wizards of the Coast

Acrylic, Approx 11" x 7.5".

Original artwork for sale; UK£350.

The fiery rage glinted in his eye as the berserk giant trashed the Kithkin village.

The Shadowmoor world is a twilight setting with a sombre mood. This is conveyed with the muted palette.

I also wanted a strong sense of movement, as the Giant is in full swing. I tried to create this with an arc of damage left in the wake of the swung tree. This crescent of debris, and shadow, cuts right across the page in a slicing arc.

I'd say you've got action galore hon :D Love the chimney flying :giggle:
He looks like quite the menace. The village will never be the same again :(
Excellent work. I guess it's a red card. :P

good scene and very nice details ;)
Sweet. It's amazing how much motion and detail you manage to pack into your paintings! :)
you really got the movement down in this one and the colours work really well,
how did u get wizards as a client man u must fucking love your job.
Exceptional action. I quite like the trail of debris and the way his frenzied swing pulls him off balance. I think you hit your mark spot-on with this one. =D
