Grey Seer
Novel cover artwork. ©Games Workshop; Black Library. Acrylic, Approx 8.5" x 13.5". Original artwork for sale; UK£600. Thanquol the Grey Seer screeches the attack command as the Skaven swarm surges past him, led by the mighty rat ogre Boneripper. I chose a low viewpoint to accentuate Thanquol's dominant character, and air of menace. The strong light source sheds an eerie green colour onto the scene, which in turn is deliberately contrasted with the main orange/red colour scheme to help pick the form of the figures out via the rim lighting.
