'A hush descended like the blanket of snow...'

This is the latest in my continuing series of 'Wildborn' paintings. I wanted to capture the subtle variations in colour that inhabit a wintry landscape.

This reminds me of my second home about this time of year. The lake is frozen over and covered in snow right now. It makes me a bit homesick.

Oh, wintery, yes I think I can feel the cold. :) I find it a nice touch not to make the dragon overy visible, makes it feel a bit like those pictures of the Loch Ness monster or Bigfoot, what little they show is just enough to spike your curiousity. Like you accidently stumbled upon it.
