Remorhaz
Monster Manual 2 chapter start artwork; Dungeons & Dragons. ©Wizards of the Coast Acrylic, Approx 21" x 19". Original Artwork for sale; £1200 Just as safety appeared in sight.... The Chapter Start spreads across two pages, with the guttering being about one third in from the left. This created it's own unique compositional issues. In essence I opted for a piece that would work several ways; as a whole image, the left third on it's own, and the right two thirds likewise. The strong sunlight helps to link all the elements together, as well as providing drama. The Remorhaz (ice worm/centipede) encircles and towers over the warrior strengthening the impression of a sudden ambush as it erupts from the snow. |

I learn a lot not only from just looking at your beautiful works but also by the descriptions you place in your comments area.
I wish more artists would do that.
I also like when, like in this one specifically, you don't place too much information about the composition and placement of too many elements, which leaves me to 'study' the work and find what makes it as intense as how you manage to make it.
Thank you man.
