Zenith Shadowforce

Acrylic, approx 7" x 10"

World of Warcraft trading card game illustration
©Blizzard Entertainment & Upper Deck.

Original artwork sold.

The powerful Warlock and his beast companion overlook the blasted lands around them, steely indifference in his heart.

This is an unusual layout for card art. The piece needed to function as the Portariat shown here, but also when cropped down to more conventional card proportions ( at a point just below is lower hand).

I tried to play with this by using a spotlit effect upon the Mage, whilst letting his lower robes, and the ground around him fall into shadow.

Let us give thanks to The Builder, for He hath formed my hands with fingers. And behold, my fingers interlock like cogs on a gear. I am part of His unbeholdable machine, and therein lies my salvation.

Slow and steady wins the race, but fast and dangerous is a lot more fun! Winning isn't always the goal! - me

Do people even have TIME nowadays?

So much details and the background is amazing. *3*

ooooo I really like the mage; he caught the emotion you were getting at

I think maybe it could have had a bit more contrast. I dunno *shrug* I'm just throwing out an idea XD;; it probably would have added to the mood if you used more mute grayish reds in the background and set off your bright green and purple foreground. XP
